
In 1986, Edgar Zollinger introduced Europe's first commercially operated armoured special protection vehicle to the market - a Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL, in what was then the highest protection class, designed to withstand attacks with assault rifles and hand grenades.

Accordingly, the demand for professional protection and highly specialized drivers was considerable. Edgar Zollinger perfected his skills through top-level international training programs, including courses at Mercedes-Benz in Germany
and the legendary Scotty School of Defensive Driving in the United States.
Thanks to his comprehensive training and the use of the safest vehicles of his time, Edgar Zollinger worked throughout Europe over the following two decades for numerous heads of state, government officials, members of royal families and other leading figures from the private industry.
In this time between 1986 - 2002, he served the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos - as the only specialist with an armoured limousine.
In 1994, Mercedes-Benz Stuttgart honored Edgar Zollinger as Europe's best security driver. He won the legendary security driving training competition - an elite contest in which state chauffeurs from EU countries and members of international
anti-terror units competed against one another.
